A Mint alternative built for manual, offline budgeting.

It is free to use, works offline with manual entry, and imports a copy of a saved Mint export before you commit.

Mint vs Simply Finance
Mint is no longer available. Simply Finance is not a direct continuation: it trades automatic bank feeds for manual control, offline access, and a local-first ledger.

Why a former Mint user may prefer Simply Finance
Simply Finance is useful when you still have a Mint export and prefer these trade-offs:
- Mint is gone. You need a current app that can preview a copy of your saved transaction export.
- A budget-focused workflow. You want monthly category limits and a manual ledger rather than a broader credit and financial-health product.
- No bank connection. You prefer deliberate entry or reviewed CSV imports over automatic feeds.
- A local-first ledger. Your readable finance records stay on your devices, including during optional sync.
What is different by design
Simply Finance is deliberately simpler and private. Add transactions directly or preview a saved Mint export before importing it. There is no bank feed to configure, but you are responsible for keeping the ledger current.
On top of the basics you get plain-language answers—how long your money would last and where your balance is heading, from your real income and spending—designed to support everyday planning without requiring a hosted account.

Who Simply Finance is not for
We would rather you choose the right tool than churn. A bank-syncing app may fit better if:
You must have automatic imports across many accounts, or you need shared household budgeting with separate logins. Simply Finance is single-owner, requires manual entry, and is intentionally lean—it trades automation for privacy and speed.
How to switch in an afternoon
Find your saved Mint export
Use the transactions CSV you downloaded before Mint shut down. Simply Finance does not need a Mint or Credit Karma login.
Preview, then import a copy
Open Settings → Import from Another App → Mint. Review what will be added and which rows are already present before confirming.
Try it with your real history
Explore the imported transactions, set the category limits you care about, and see the answers built from your own data.
Keep the export until you are ready
Simply Finance imports a copy and leaves the file unchanged. Delete or archive that export only after you are satisfied with the result.
FAQ
Do you sell my data?
No. Simply Finance has no ads and does not sell personal data. The working ledger stays on your device. Optional sync relays can see routing and operational metadata, but finance records are end-to-end encrypted before they leave the device.
How is Simply Finance priced?
Core tracking and budgets are free to use. Full Version is a one-time $4.99 in-app purchase that unlocks Sync and detailed Reports. Optional managed relay hosting from SimplySync Cloud is billed separately; the built-in relay and self-hosting remain available. There are no ads.
Can I import my Mint data (CSV)?
Yes. If you saved a Mint transaction export before it shut down, choose Mint under Import from Another App. Simply Finance previews the history and duplicates before saving a copy to your local ledger.
Is this like Mint's budgets?
Simply Finance uses per-category monthly budgets that show spent, remaining, and over at a glance. It is a manual, local-first workflow rather than a continuation of Mint or Credit Karma.
Does it connect to my bank?
No. Simply Finance never asks for a bank login and does not use an account aggregator. Add transactions directly or preview a supported CSV file before importing it.
Is my financial data private?
Yes. Your data lives on your device and is end-to-end encrypted before any sync. There is no signup and no account profile. Sync relays only ever see ciphertext they cannot read.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Simply Finance is local-first, so it works fully offline. Sync is optional and only moves encrypted data between your own devices.
