Privacy Policy

The short version

Simply Finance is a local-first app. Your financial data is stored on your device and never sent to our servers. We don't track you, we don't sell your data, and we don't show ads. That's it.

Data storage

All your financial data — accounts, transactions, budgets, categories, and settings — is stored locally on your device using SQLite. Your data never leaves your device unless you choose to sync it across your own devices using Evolu's end-to-end encrypted sync.

• We have no access to your financial data
• We cannot read, view, or analyze your transactions
• Your data is never uploaded to our servers
• If you use sync, data is end-to-end encrypted — only your devices can decrypt it

Data we do not collect

Simply Finance does not collect:

• Personal information (name, email, phone number)
• Financial data (account balances, transactions, budgets)
• Usage analytics or behavioral tracking
• Device identifiers for advertising
• Location data

No account required

Simply Finance does not require you to create an account or sign in. There is no registration, no email collection, and no user profiles. You can start using the app immediately.

Third-party services

The mobile app is distributed through the Apple App Store. This platform may collect its own data as described in its privacy policy. Simply Finance itself does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

Data export and deletion

You can export your data at any time using the in-app export feature. Since your data is stored locally on your device, deleting the app removes all your data. We have no backups of your data and cannot recover it after deletion.

Encryption

If you choose to sync your data across devices, the sync is powered by Evolu, which uses end-to-end encryption. Your data is encrypted on your device before it's transmitted, and only your devices hold the keys to decrypt it. We cannot access your synced data.

Children's privacy

Simply Finance does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Since we don't collect data at all, there is no children's data to protect — but we mention this for completeness.

Changes to this policy

If we update this privacy policy, we will post the revised version on this page with an updated date. Since we don't collect your email or contact information, we encourage you to review this page periodically.
